Life Between the Lines
Recorded in early 2017, "Life Between the Lines" is the second studio album from Fireside Collective. The album consists of 12 original tracks and spans from traditional to progressive, and everything in between. The material explores concepts such as letting go, staying focused through difficult times, and facing your fears. Recorded at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN, the album is enriched by the guidance and support of various ETSU faculty members. Dan Boner, director of the Bluegrass, Old-Time, and Country music program, produced vocals for the album alongside sound engineer Ben Bateson. Jesse Langlais of Town Mountain joined the band in the studio as guest producer.
Shadows and Dreams
Featuring entirely original compositions recorded at Sound Temple Studios, "Shadows and Dreams" blends early folk and bluegrass music with contemporary songwriting and modern musicianship. The album, funded through Kickstarter, pays homage to the grassroots movement and features many of western North Carolina's most talented acoustic musicians alongside members of the Fireside Collective. Both a celebration of community and art, the album seeks to bridge old with new, roots with rock, and simplicity with complexity.
